Eight recommended small business website builders to fit your unique business requirements so you can make the right choice to stand out online.

Your business website works well until it doesn’t and can morph into a nightmare. That’s my experience. Mine was a great template until everyone moved to the more secure https protocol.

The developer told me it wouldn’t be a problem to switch. It was, and my website was offline for nine months. My email still doesn’t connect correctly!

A website being down that long could kill some businesses. There are many small business website builders to choose from if your website needs changes. But not lots of hassle.

If you’re looking for a website that grows with your business, Wix receives an outstanding score. Wix offers a wide range of tools, including marketing and SEO. It’s not a fit for a company wanting to integrate its POS system

Does your business need a website that integrates with a POS? You can do that with Shopify, Clover, or Square for Retail. All of them offer many selections to fit your needs.

Weebly, now part of the Square product suite, is priced slightly lower than Wix. It offers a robust e-commerce section, marketing, and SEO tools. Weebly gets high marks in ease of use, even from owners with little experience.

Do you prefer a WordPress site? Divi comes highly recommended for ease of use and customer service. It uses a visual page builder rather than the standard post editor.

You can create your website on WordPress directly if you’re a pro at using WordPress. It costs little, but there’s not great support. Give Elementor a try if you’re looking for more support and tools.
