Can a Special AI-Powered Browser Transform Your Workflow

I conduct lots of searches for information in the course of my writing. As a professional requiring accurate and reliable information, I signed up for Perplexity. I admit I kept forgetting to use it when Co-Pilot came as an icon on my toolbar.

Then, Microsoft made a change, and my Co-Pilot icon disappeared. Distressing and inconvenient. A few days ago, I received an email from Perplexity announcing that their AI-powered browser, Comet, was available to download.

I liked having a Co-Pilot icon to give me instant chatbot access to answer my questions and search for information, so the idea of having that access built into a browser appeals to me. My productivity improves. Does your business need an AI-powered browser?

If your business uses Microsoft 365 and browsing with Edge, you likely have access to Co-Pilot already or can get it as an “add-on.” It’s an excellent general AI that helps with content creation and produces graphics. Give it detailed prompts and it’s likely to churn out a decent result, which you will need to double-check.

The two most popular browsers are already AI-enabled: Safari and Chrome. For Apple users, you must activate Apple Intelligence on your device and have the latest iOS version. It’s not available on all models.

Your Chrome browser has an AI mode accessible in the search bar. If your business utilizes a Gemini-enabled Workspace, additional AI features are available in the Chrome search bar. Since most browsers now include some AI already, a special AI-powered browser won’t increase productivity unless you have unique business needs.
