Discovering the Prime Social Media Sites for Your Small Business

Finding the Right Social Site

There isn’t a “best” social media site for small business. Every small business has a unique customer base. The perfect social media site for your small business is the one your customers prefer.

The trick is finding the social sites your customers prefer and connecting with them to generate business.  Here are the top social media sites for small business marketing and how to find the best ones for your business.

Facebook is the behemoth with over 2 billion users. Businesses who advertise events or products have the most luck with Facebook. Reaching just a small percentage of Facebook users means lots of potential customers.

Yelp, with over 100 million users, gets lots of eyeballs on your business if you have reviews. It’s a boon to have good reviews on Yelp. It’s one of the first places I go to locate the trustworthy small local businesses in my area.

Google is crucial because of the SEO value. Your Google business page allows you to add visual effects including video and features a choice of call-to-action buttons. It’s simple to make a snappy ad to attract customers and clicks.

Twitter excels at the news, and updates from your business. Businesses who produce visuals with content get the most out of Twitter. Your company builds a list of followers who tell other potential customers how great your products or services are.

Instagram and Pinterest emphasize visual expression. They’re best for businesses who sell products. With a user base in the millions, if your product or service lends itself to the visual, these sites are a great place to market your company.
